BLÜCHER Drains, Channels & Europipe supplied to Brazil Foods – BRF’s Largest Food Processing Facility outside South America at Kizad Freezone, Abu Dhabi (UAE)

BLÜCHER's  MENA office  in Dubai has supplied stainless steel industrial drains, Channel Gratings and BLÜCHER pipes and fittings for Brazilian Foods company BRF’s US$ 120 million food processing plant in Abu Dhabi.

This state of the art facility in Kizad streches across 1.6 million square feet. The plant at Khalifa Industrial Zone (Kizad) will be the Sao Paulo-based company’s largest facility outside South America, employing 1,200 people.

BLÜCHER has supplied the complete stainless steel drainage products for the project includes, Industrial gullies, custom made 600mm deep channels and pipes & fittings. 

Expected to be fully operational by 2014, the Kizad based plant will have a production capacity of 80,000 tonnes annually. Which will be used to produce diverse products including meat products, marinated processed foods and other bread based foods.

Stretching across 1.6 million square feet, the plant at Khalifa Industrial Zone (Kizad) will be the Sao Paulo-based company’s largest facility outside South America, employing 1,200 people. It will begin producing 30,000 tonnes of meat products and bread-based foods, such as pizzas, but will have capacity to eventually double production.

The company’s Sadia brand is well known across the region. BRF plans to use the Kizad facility to help it to penetrate deeper into North African markets and Syria as well, once the civil war eases.  It is the largest Brazilian investment in the UAE and comes amid an increase in trade and investment ties between the two countries.
